Ketamine

Also Known As: K.

What You Should Know:

Used mainly at raves, clubs and concerts, K is a liquid, but most users let it evaporate into a white powder then snort it. It's often confused with cocaine or crystal. If you inject it, you lose control of your muscles before finishing the injection. Some people pass it off as ecstasy, or mix it with caffeine.

What's the Problem?

  • K can cause severe breathing problems, coma, or even death.
  • It can damage your brain, impair your senses, memory and judgment.
  • Often, you'll hallucinate and feel disconnected from everything around you.
  • You'll get numbness in your hands and feet, and lose muscle control. It will be hard to talk or feel. This can last up to an hour from one dose, and much longer for higher doses.
